After a highly publicized divorce that resulted in Williams being shipped to the Converge FiberXers, the idea of TNT returning to the negotiating table is complicated. If Tropang Giga management truly wants their former Finals MVP back, Converge holds the leverage. But what exactly is a fair asking price?

Kim Aurin is a young, dynamic perimeter player who has repeatedly showcased legitimate PBA potential. Are the chances high that Aurin will ever reach the absolute peak, PBA Finals MVP form that Williams displayed? Realistically, those odds are very low. However, the chances that Aurin will develop into a highly reliable, long-time rotational guard in this league are extremely high. He brings youth, defensive energy, and a highly manageable contract to a Converge squad that needs stable, everyday building blocks.
The inclusion of the future 2nd-round pick serves as the ultimate deal-sweetener. While second-rounders rarely alter a franchise's destiny, accumulating draft capital makes the optics of the trade look significantly better for Converge management. It provides them with another rotational asset while successfully moving off an overpaid contract and securing a promising young guard in Aurin.
