I hope you watched the video. It was all about technicalities. James Yap already aired his side and he understand what happened and he was fine with it.
But, is James really happy with his current situation in Rain or Shine?
Out of there six games this season, he only started two of them. In their last three games, he came off-the-bench, although he did well.
In terms of minutes, James Yap was never one of the three players who played the most minutes in any of their games.
Even in his best game against Phoenix, where he scored 20 points, he was still behind Ahanmisi, Tiu, Borboran, Norwood and Daquioag in playing time.
Can the so-called Face of the PBA really accept that?
Maybe. Maybe, the role of James is not already the role that he and we were used to.
James Yap is a very professional player, so I don't expect him to air some grievance about his minutes. And, coach Caloy actually wants him to shoot as much as possible.
If they keep winning, I expect the controversy to subside. If they start losing more games? There is a big chance only one of them will remain for the next conference.
