Here is an article series about two players who you did not expect to be at the same age! 

Let us start with one of the most popular players in the league today and who is being groomed to be the successor of Mark Caguioa, Scottie Thompson.

Thompson is only 25 years old and he is actually as young as the 6th pick of the 2017 draft who is currently playing with the Magnolia Hotshots, Robbie Herndon.


SCOTTIE THOMPSON
Thompson was only 22 years old when he entered the 2015 draft and was chosen by Brgy. Ginebra after Moala Tautuaa, Troy Rosario, Maverick Ahanmisi and Chris Newsome. 

This is already his third season and he had accumulated a lot of awards and championships. His most prestigious plum was the latest, the 2018 Commissioner's Cup Finals Most Valuable Player. He is also perfect in terms of All-Stars appearance.

Ginebra fans should be celebrating the fact that they have a Finals MVP caliber player who can continue to develop in the same time span as the promising rookie of their rival, Magnolia Hotshots.

ROBBIE HERNDON
Herndon was the 6th pick in the most recent draft. He was chosen over more popular names like Rey Nambatac, Sidney Onwubere and Jett Manuel. 

Unlike Scottie Thompson, Herndon is only part of the bench unit of Magnolia. That is understandable because the guy is only a rookie and Magnolia has a good number of players that they need to play at SF. 

Herndon's best attribute is his athleticism and size. His ceiling could be a premier 3-and-D player but that is not happening very soon. 

This comparison is an evidence of how special Scottie Thompson. Thompson is already one of the top 15 players in the league while his fellow year of the roster ballers are still on the developing stage.
