In another shocking trade news, Blackwater continues to make moves. Spin.ph reported that Parks is now on his way to the Meralco Bolts in a three-team deal.
The official trade is not yet out to the public but the current reported structure is this:
Meralco will get Bobby Ray Parks
TNT will get Baser Amer
Blackwater will get Brian Heruela and Jericho Cruz
This is the kind of trade that I am really hoping the technical committee will reject. If that is the final structure, it is pretty obvious that the value of the #2 pick should not equate to a fringe guard and a fringe guard starter.
It will be a different story if we are talking about bigmen here. The league should realize that in terms of supply and demand, guards should have the lowest value.
The PBA universe will be on an uproar if this trade will be approved because the team owner of Blackwater officially said that they wanted Parks.
Do not forget that Brian Heruela was traded by Blackwater in 2015 in exchange of Carlo Lastimosa who is basically out of the league now.
There is no way they are now valuing Heruela that high after SMB brewed him in their bench.
This one will be pretty hard to defend unless the technical committee helps out Blackwater and improved the return for the Elite.
