TNT is bound to received Brian Heruela and David Semerad and the 2019 and 2020 1st round picks of San Miguel.
San Miguel will add Romeo to complete the greatest seven-man core in the history of the league. Seriously, Junemar Fajardo, Christian Standhardinger, Arwind Santos, Alex Cabagnot, Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter and Terrence Romeo is way more talented than any other seven-man core that was formed in the history of the league!
So, should this trade be approved as it is?
My answer is no. Why? Because in terms of value, the difference is huge. Hate him or like him, Terrence is a legit top 10 player in the league.
For a top 10 player, two in-prime fringe players plus two #10 to #12 1st round picks is not enough.
I am hoping that the technical committee now is way more knowledgeable than the committee in the reign of Narvasa.
I doubt TNT wants another headcase like Kelly Nabong but how about Yancy de Ocampo or Billy Mamaril?
Yes, they will not help in the future of TNT but in terms of solidifying their rotation and calming their culture, they will be good additions.
Adding YDO or Mamaril will not make the value equal. But at least, TNT will have a better return than the current proposal.
