There are some rumblings that the rumored Terrence Romeo to Blackwater Elite trade is not happening already. According to the source, it is due to the attitude and behavior of the star guard.
We cannot blame Blackwater if they are really worried about him destroying the chemistry and the culture of their team because they are still a young franchise. The culture that they have built is not solid enough to withstand a 'headcase' player.
If TNT failed to handle him if his buzzing bad attitude is legit, why do we even think that Blackwater can?
Actually, Romeo's fit to their team could be enough to keep Terrence happy. We need to remember that Terrence is still very young with a trigger-happy style. It should not be shocking that he irritated almost all the veterans of TNT who valued team basketball behind the leadership of Castro.
Now, if Terrence to Blackwater is not happening. Which other teams may try to trade for him?
The most intriguing possibility is still Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel. LA Tenorio, Sol Mercado and Mark Caguioa are all on the wrong end of 30. So, how about trading for their guard of the present and of the future?
TNT will not say no to Greg Slaughter. Remember that Greg played in Ateneo. The MVP group is familiar with Greg. And he already exhibited that he is capable of banging with Fajardo. With their foreign coach, Greg will be utilized properly.
The other interesting idea is to send Terrence to Meralco for Baser Amer. Their playing style is quite different but in terms of impact, Romeo is still better.
One big need of Meralco is a player who will consistently break down the defense. Romeo can do that and more. Terrence has the quality that can bend the defense which can actually minimize their problem inside.
