The 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup finals series between TNT and San Miguel continue to deliver amazing games. Last Wednesday, San Miguel came from behind to take the victory and finally get the lead in the series.
Going into game 6, TNT is suddenly facing a do-or-die game after looking like the better team in the first four games. Their game 2 loss is getting bitter and bitter as games go by because that should have been a W but they failed to close the deal.
Now, game 5 was the game that encapsulated the picture of this series if we are only looking at the papers. TNT played better in the majority of the 48 minutes but San Miguel delivered the right amount of points, primarily by enforcing their advantage on talent.
Now, what could be the story of game 6?
It will be the story of the locals. What I am trying to say is, I expect more than two locals, either from a single team or from each team, to dominate game 6. It feels like Jayson Castro, Troy Rosario and RR Pogoy of TNT and June Mar Fajardo, Terrence Romeo and Alex Cabagnot are all ripe for a breakout game.
Of course, Terrence Jones and Chris McCullough will not just go behind the limelight. I expect them to play as expected, delivering monster numbers.
Now, which team will win game 6?
This series deserves a game 7 and I expect it to reach that climax. Not because I wanted that to happen but you can feel that TNT badly wants it. They are more hungry than SMB and that will be the key for game 6 as they tie the series.
