We are finally on the last team for this series of articles. In this series of articles, we will suggest a trade for each team that will catapult them to the right path. When I say the right path, the two extremes will be all-out contending and all-out tanking.
The last franchise that we will tackle is the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. They have a well-built roster that can contend this season and in the future. Even their positional rotations are pretty even without an obvious weakness.
So I think, the guy that they should try to get is a young stud who can also help in terms of marketing the team.
So, how about trying to get the future superstar of a franchise that is being rumored to be leaving the league soon?
Rain or Shine trade: Beau Belga, 2nd round pick, Adrian Wong
Alaska trade: Jeron Teng
Belga will be a big loss for the franchise but they do need to unload a big contract to be capable of carrying a Jeron Teng. Belga is already 33 years old and we can easily say that the 2nd round pick and Adrian Wong is good enough payment for the potential of a Jeron Teng.
How good is Jeron Teng?
He averaged 11.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 40% FG and 28% 3FG per game. He is a big wing who can attack big and small defenders. His biggest weakness is his three-point shooting but Rain or Shine has a good pedigree in developing outside shot.
If Teng managed to develop his outside shot, that will magnify the other parts of his offense and will easily catapult him as a superstar.
