Nothing.
I think I am the most disappointed person about what Northport did in the PBA bubble. I pushed hard the narrative of Northport having the best player in the bubble that I was really convicted that they are a sure playoff entrant.
They failed. I was badly wrong. Although, I actually anticipated that their point guard play will be below average. I did not anticipate though that it will be so bad.
Nevertheless, Christian Standhardinger was still awesome with his 19.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 49% FG per game.
I strongly believed that Christian suffered a lot by the abysmal play of their quarterbacks as he was not getting the ball at the right spot and those point guards did no help him because they were inefficient in finishing plays.
Fortunately for Northport, two premium players will be there in the 2021 season.
Robert Bolick will be back from his year-long injury. With his return, the point guard position will not be a problem anymore.
And they will be having the #2 pick in the upcoming draft.
That #2 pick will surely be a rookie that will help them win right away. Just for example, they will end up with either Joshua Munzon or Jamie Malonzo.
What can you say about a core-five of Bolick-Ferrer-Munzon or Malonzo-Anthony-Standhardinger and with a bench of Paolo Taha, Garvo Lanete, Kelly Nabong and Sean Manganti?
Unfortunately, we need to pray hard for that to happen.
We need to pray at least, and hope that Northport will not make any trade.
Is that even realistic?
