As the PBA universe digests what is happening in the Vic Manuel fiasco, another rumor is flying under the radar.
I am talking about the latest post of Snow Badua that Management are already in talk of a veteran cager for his retirement.
The clue was, it is "not mark".
The clue seems to indicate that it is not talking about Mark Caguioa. The veteran face of the Ginebra franchise that most of their millions of fans clamor for a retirement.
Another way of reading it is that the name is not Mark but maybe, Marc. If that is the point of the clue, it could be pointing to Marc Pingris who failed to join in the PBA bubble due to an injury.
Just last week, we heard coach Chito Victolero clamoring the management that they re-sign Rafi Reavis and Marc Pingris.
Another possible option that the rumor is pointing to is LA Tenorio. We heard last year that Snow Badua hinted for a Tenorio retirement.
After LA's Finals MVP conquest in the PBA bubble, that retirement rumor is hard to see coming this year.
So, if I am going to choose, I think the rumor is pointing to Marc Pingris. And what a coincidence will it be, if the rumor that this is already the final year of James Yap is also true.
