PBA Trade Rumors: Who are the teams trying to trade for 2021 Draft Picks?

The freshest rumor from Snow Badua is very interesting. It states that there are already several teams trying to trade for draft picks. The way I understand it is that it is not only about teams trying to acquire additional picks but maybe some are trying to move up in the draft.

The tweet states that big-name players are even offered. So, which teams are involved? In this article, let me give my three best guests. 

San Miguel Beermen

This is the easiest one as coach Leo Austria himself was the one who said that his team is quite old that it needs some infusion of young blood. And the best avenue in getting some young stars is, of course, the draft. Actually, it is the best path in maximizing the trade value of their old star players because fans will be more acceptable of a trade that involves a newly drafted player because of the risk that the young player will not meet the hype.

Magnolia Hotshots
Another team that is suffering from father time is Magnolia. Marc Pingris failed to participate in the PBA bubble due to an injury and Pinoy Sakuragi, together with Rafi Reavis, continue to age. So, I think it is logical for them to try and get some young bloods. I mean, their decision-maker should be fired if they still believed that their frontline is fine by relying on Reavis, who is 43, and Pingris, who is 39.

TNT

It seems like there is a strong desire by the SBP to suggest another Gilas draft. If that happens, this is then a very good chance for the MVP group to secure several of their prized amateur players under their roof in the professional league.

Although, it will not be easy because TNT does not have a draft pick in this upcoming draft.
