PBA Trade Suggestions for Ginebra, Blackwater, Terrafirma: What happened to the Greg Slaughter discussion?

 

When it was announced that January 4, 2021, will be the day for the PBA to allow trades, I thought we will be having a lot of trades at this point.

That has not materialized. So, let me give my trade target suggestions for every team. Let us continue with Terrafirma, Ginebra and Blackwater.

Terrafirma
We can look at Terrafirma in two ways. If the CJ Perez to San Miguel trade is really happening. They should ask for the package of Moala Tautuaa, 1st round pick and one of Santos, Cabagnot, Ross or Lassiter.

Now, if CJ Perez will remain with Terrafirma, they should look for an elite shooter. I wonder if they can talk to Blackwater for one of KG Canaleta, Richard Escoto, or Matt Salem?

Blackwater
Blackwater's need is simple. They need a consistent creator. Don Trollano, Roi Sumang and Mac Belo are not good enough. So, they may consider trying for Vic Manuel if they can promise him that they will take care of him.

If not Vic, maybe Rashawn McCarthy who has an issue with his team during the PBA bubble. McCarthy is a big guard that will be able to play with the current core of the Elite.

Ginebra
I wonder what happened to the Greg Slaughter discussion? We heard earlier this year that Greg already wants to return to the most popular team in the PBA. That Ginebra' management will now talk to him.

What happened to that?

So, it seems like Ginebra's need is pretty obvious. They need a center. And I mean, they should try to get the best possible big available. If that is Standhardinger, why not? 

But, do not discount the possibility that they will end up with Vic Manuel. Coach Tim Cone loves Manuel.
