PBA Trade Rumors: TNT could be making a big trade again, because?

 

I am pretty sure you have heard about it. Mikey Williams and TNT Tropang Giga have not settled for a contract.

Why?

According to a column by sir Homer Sayson, Mikey is looking for a contract beyond the maximum rookie contract.

Can TNT give that?

Of course, they can. But, they do not want to give in that easily because their current veteran core could have a negative reaction to it.

And it seems like this issue is only present with the TNT franchise. Which makes me question if TNT failed in controlling the current power of their veteran core to their franchise.

By dragging this contract negotiation, they are losing some Amor from Mikey. And Mikey may have the potential to be their best player in the next five years!

At this point, TNT should also think about their future. If the real reason why they are not giving in is the feelings of their veteran core, I think, it is easy to see that keeping their young stars happy will benefit their franchise more.

Nevertheless, we still hope that someday, these illegal contracts will stop.
