A Facebook page just posted a very hot trade rumor!
The page said that Magnolia Hotshots made a big offer for the services of Matthew Wright and Jason Perkins!
What did they offer? The offer, as per the source, was Paul Lee, Jio Jalalon and future draft picks. I do not think that the future picks are 1st rounders. This is because Paul Lee and Jio Jalalon are actually two of the most popular players of Magnolia, and the entire league.
According to an insider, Phoenix doesn't plan to trade Wright. Unless, the offer is a superstar. Thus Paul Lee fall into that category?
I believe so. But there is a glaring three years difference in age. Knowing that Lee has suffered different types of injuries, it is hard to see Wright and Lee as equal value.
So, it is jut right that Magnolia should add picks.
But, can Phoenix really give up Perkins?
Perkins was arguably the second best player of Phoenix in the PBA bubble. Together with Chua and Wright plus Abueva, they formed a very modern brand of basketball.
Unless Magnolia is talking about at least a 1st round pick, it is hard to see if this trade will happen.
