PBA Trade Rumors: Is Alaska trading for Magnolia Superstar?

Jio Jalalon has been the most controversial PBA player, next to Kiefer Ravena, n the past few months. It all started with his issue with his wife.

Now, we have a big rumor swirling in social media. A five-team trade! According to the source, the teams involved are Alaska, Magnolia, Ginebra, Phoenix and Rain or Shine.

One clear part of the rumored trade is that Alaska will get Jio Jalalon in exchange for Robbie Herndon, Michael DiGregorio, and a 2nd round pick.

Looking at the trade, it is hard to believe that Alaska will agree to this.

First, Jio Jalalon just got the same wife-issue that Calvin Abueva had during his time with Alaska. I am pretty sure Alaska is not excited to get a player again with this baggage.

Second, I do not think they will give up two of their best three-point shooters to get a bad shooter in Jalalon.

Jalalon will fit Alaska, because they do need a very good point guard. The problem is, he is not a shooter and Alaska is arguably the worst shooting team in the PBA right now.

Even with Jalalon's prowess, without spacing, it will be easy to stop him. And the funny part in this rumor is, Alaska will give up their top 2 shooters for him.

Numbers alone dictates that Herndon may even be more valuable than Jalalon.
