We have talked about a trade rumor posted by PBA on the Go, implying that Terrence Romeo and one of Chris and Alex Cabagnot will be used by San Miguel Beermen to get Jamie Malonzo and Troy Rike of the Northport Batang Pier.
Now, the same source has made it more compelling, as he posts that Terrence Romeo is being eyed by Ginebra.
Again, we questioned the first rumor because of the history of Terrence Romeo and Globalport and the positions of those involved.
Also, is San Miguel really considering giving up Terrence to give him to their sister team, who is also their main rival in terms of firepower.
Also, marketing-wise, Romeo could be the #1 in the league. So, the Beermen may need him more in terms of product marketing than San Miguel.
On the side of Ginebra, I do not think it is unrealistic for Ginebra to covet Terrence because they badly need shooters.
And Romeo is of course one of the deadliest.
Also, LA Tenorio could be nearing his retirement. Thus, Ginebra may need to find one of their future core guards.
