Rashawn McCarthy was revealed as one of the guys currently in the trade block. According to Snow Badua, there were some issues off the court.
One team that PBA on the Go posted to be interested with Rashawn is Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. So, what could have been the offer?
According to PBA on the Go, Ginebra is offering Kent Salado and Art Dela Cruz.
Is that the right price for a Rashawn McCarthy?
McCarthy is currently averaging 8.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.0 three-pointer and 38% 3FG per game.
He is a big wing, capable of creating plays for others. He is more of a pull-up shooter type but he is good at it.
Ginebra wants to give up a sophomore that is currently rotting in their bench because of how deep their guard rotation is and Art, who is injury-riddled.
Production wise, Ginebra wins this by a mile. They are giving up two players that they are not even using for a capable shooter.
But, if we consider the real quality of Kent and Art, I think this trade is fine. Kent is hyped as a prospect and plays like Jio Jalalon but may have better shooting. Art, if healthy, is a very skilled player.
Overall, I actually see an acceptable trade.
