The San Miguel Corporation teams had an awesome weak. So, where should SMB and Ginebra be ranked?
Eliminated: Rain or Shine
I think being eliminated in this tournament is actually what Rain or Shine needs with their current situation.
#9 Phoenix (#7 last ranking)
I commend them for staying on the hunt even though one of their top 2 players decided to leave them. Nevertheless, their import situation is too shaky to trust them.
#8 NLEX (#4 last ranking)
It is hard to trust them if KJ McDaniels will not be there. Even if they chose the right replacement, chemistry issues will be there to make their lives, hard.
#7 Northport (#8 last ranking)
Robert Bolick is a bad man. He has a very good case of becoming our next Most Valuable Player. He just needs to carry Northport to a miracle playoff run.
#6 Alaska (#5 last ranking)
Their offense continues to be a big problem for this team. Defense wins the championship but they need to have at least an average offense.
#5 Meralco (#2 last ranking)
Coach Norman Black has a point about the sudden disappearance of the free-throw shots for Tony Bishop. I am not sure though if revealing it to the public will actually help them get the right calls from the referees.
#4 San Miguel (#7 last ranking)
Okay, I am not the biggest fan of the formula of coach Leo Austria in winning games. He is simply overwhelming opponents with talent. But Shabazz is looking like the real deal.
#3 Barangay Ginebra (#6 last ranking)
The reality is, Ginebra rose to this spot because the other teams deserved to slide down. Nevertheless, they are looking better entering the playoffs.
#2 TNT (#3 last ranking)
TNT has silently turned themselves into the top three-point shooting team in the league. They are averaging 12.6 long bombs per game.
#1 Magnolia (#1 last ranking)
They are very dominant in this elimination round. Actually, they even faced injury issues. Calvin Abueva will be returning in the playoffs.
