PBA Trade Rumors: Alaska's buyer will be?

This is not our usual trade rumor article as the trade that we will discuss is not a trade of basketball players and draft picks but of a basketball franchise.

Of course, I am talking about the Alaska Aces who recently announced that they will now leave the PBA after the end of the Governors' Cup.

The first set of rumored buyers are; Manny Villar company, Family brand sardines, a company that is also participating in professional volleyball and many more.

But, in the latest rumor brought by Snow Badua, he said that the current frontrunner for the franchise is Delta Pineda of Pampanga!

And that for me is very good news! What we all desire is a company that will be entering the PBA to compete and not to make money by serving SMC or MVP teams.

And I am confident that Mr. Pineda will not be doing that knowing his pedigree in sports. He and his family are the main backers of the very successful basketball player development in Pampanga. The reality is, they are the best at doing it and nobody is close.

So, Alaska could be replaced by a franchise that will also be as competitive as Alaska was back in the days when they still have the financial capacity.

Actually, Snow already inputted something very interesting to his posts. He said that Mr. Pineda could be trying to make a move to get his homegrown players (Ian Sangalang, Calvin Abueva and Arwind Santos).

I hope he finds a way.
