Phoenix Super LPG has one of the best one-two punch in the league, last month. They have two top 15 players in Matthew Wright and Jason Perkins.
Both stars will not be available now for the remainder of the season. Matthew Wright is now in Japan B League. Jason will be healing from an injury.
Phoenix is of course the biggest loser of this. The biggest winner? The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters who own their 2023 1st.
Rain or Shine got it from the Javee Mocon trade. And that Javee Mocon trade happened because Phoenix wanted a replacement for Matthew.
With one of the worst available roster in the league, there is a very high chance that Phoenix will end up with a top 4 position in the draft.
That means Rain or Shine has a good chance of having a top 4 pick even if they manage to turnaround their performance with the return of coach Yeng Guiao.
And the upcoming draft has the potential to be a historically deep draft. Actually a lot of interesting names are already positioning themselves to be available for the upcoming draft.
