PBA Controversy: TNT superstar has attitude problem?

 

This Mikey Williams-TNT drama just entered its next chapter! It all started with a farm team trade to get him in the 2021 PBA draft.

We are now at the point where Mikey was just handled a suspension without pay for going AWOL. Remember that AWOL means absence without official leave. It means Mikey failed to attend their activity without any prior notice to the team.

So, the most obvious question is, does Mikey Williams have attitude problems?

Players who go AWOL usually are the ones who think that they have the power to do so. Even though they actually do not have that.

It is also a disrespect to the coaching staff, management and even his teammates. Knowing what he did with his contract situation after his successful rookie season, I think it is reasonable to assume that may have some attitude issues.

Here is the counter to that though, Terrence Romeo was also painted as such during his time with TNT. Now that he is with San Miguel, those issues against him went away.

So, I do not discount the possibility that what is happening is not all on the shoulders of Mikey. TNT may also have a piece of the blame.

Unfortunately, either way TNT losses. Will they again do what they did with Terrence and trade Mikey?
