I enjoyed the 2022 Philippine Cup because we saw the rise of the Meralco Bolts into the elite. This Commissioner's Cup though is way better.
With the arrival of the Bay Area Dragons, the competition was just way different. The local teams are on their toes and Filipino fans have an extra reason to watch.
The imports also are amazing. Overall, we have fourteen imports because Bay Area was allowed to carry two and those two are monsters.
Here is our top 10 imports in the first three weeks of competition.
#10 Andrew Nicholson
I saw enough to conclude that Andrew should be in this top 10. The movement is crisp and the strength is there as advertise.
#9 Steve Taylor Jr.
Steve is a very interesting import because of his long wingspan, high jumping ability and knock for finding his open teammates.
#8 Diamond Stone
I was quite shock that he is aggressive in taking three-point shot. Is he doing it though because he has the skills to do it or just taking advantage of the touches that he is getting?
#7 Lester Prosper
There is no question that Prosper can carry a heavy load but the efficiency is just on the middle at this point. I hope a better team will try to get him next year.
#6 Cam Oliver
He struggled in their second game but his current statline is still pretty good. He is averaging 31.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 51% FG per game.
