Justin Brownlee is no doubt the greatest import ever in the Governors' Cup. Was he the best at this start of the Governors' Cup?
#5 TNT - Jalen Hudson
The import of TNT is a monster scorer. He is young and still learning how to be the main guy of his team. That has not stop him from averaging 33.8 points, 51% FG, 41% 3FG, 9.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
#4 MER - KJ McDaniels
I actually thought that KJ will be one the top 3 at this point. I cannot put him over the top 3 though. He is currently the #1 rebounder in this tournament and 2nd best in terms of defensive rating. In short, he is a monster on the defensive end.
#3 DYIP - Jordan Williams
It seems like coach John Cardel hyping of Jordan is not only for the sake of improving the badly damage image of his team. It is actually real. Williams is currently manufacturing 40.0 points, 50% FG, 38% 3FG, 8.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 3.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
He is not only unstoppable on offense but also magnificent on defense. Unfortunately, his team should get more W for us to really consider him for the top 2 spot.
#2 BGSM - Justin Brownlee
Brownlee is almost averaging triple-double in this tournament! I think, he is actually gunning for it. He is currently running the point for Ginebra and he is doing an excellent job.
#1 XERS - Jamaal Franklin
Franklin is also gunning for a triple-double average. He is currently averaging 35.4 points, 45% FG, 5.6 three-pointers made, 12.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. He is a must watch on both ends of the court.
