So, fans were hopeful that he will be a positive contributor for the team during their playoff run. They actually saw him as their 3-and-D.
That did not happen. What transpired was a horrendous offensive performance after another bad offensive performance.
In all their playoff games in the Governors' Cup, he only shot better than 50% once. In the finals, his best outing was 36%!
Maybe, it was his nerves playing in such a high-profile match-up. His defense was fine but with that offense, Ginebra really suffered.
Now, there are fans calling for him to be traded. Should Ginebra listen?
I think, they should not. With what I saw with the game of Grey, he is the perfect young guy for coach Tim to develop. He can be the role player as he grows into a much bigger role.
