PBA Trade Rumors: Is Converge a farm team now of Magnolia?

 

A lot of fans were quick to judge Converge Fiber Xers as a farm team of Magnolia after they saw the trade between the two teams. 

As discuss in our TRADE ANALYSIS, it is quite clear that Converge losses the trade. Abu Tratter is more valuable than the #10 pick. David Murrell has more potential than Adrian Wong. I mean, why Wong if Ahanmisi is there who is much better?

Just because a team clearly losses in a deal, they are already a farm team. Even in the NBA, there are a lot of trades were one team clearly won.

This Converge-Magnolia trade is just an example of that.

We also need to think about the plan of Converge specially in this upcoming draft. We all know that they want to get Justine Baltazar.

They now have the #9 and #10 pick in the draft. If this draft end up to be so deep as expected, then the teams at the top 4 picks may decide to just slide down.

I think Rain or Shine will really consider that. Getting two young talents in a very deep draft could be better than getting one guy.
