We just heard the biggest trade rumor this year! It is even much bigger than the rumors surrounding Robert Bolick, Paul Lee and other stars.
Junemar Fajardo was put in the trade block! The six times Most Valuable Player is put in the trade block! Of course, that was only a rumor.
I did some research to find the origin of the most recent rumor and written there were the packages that the source were telling to be offered for Fajardo.
So, I decided to rank them in terms of value. To rank them properly, I just assumed that the quantity of draft picks are the same.
#3 Converge offer: Abu Tatter, Aljun Melencio, Mike Tolomia and draft picks
Tratter as the main piece in getting Junemar Fajardo is not good enough. Even if we are talking about three future 1st round picks here. Knowing that Fajardo is still 33, there is a good chance that majority of those picks will not be high. Melecio is a capable point guard but not special. Tratter is good but he will be a big down grade from Fajardo.
#2 Meralco offer: Cliff Hodge, Raymond Almazan, Reynel Hugnatan draft and picks
The duo of Cliff Hodge and Raymond Almazan easily outvalues the three names in the offer of Converge. Unfortunately, both are also old cogs already. Even with those two, they will still be a big down-grade from what Fajardo can bring.
#1 Magnolia offer: Ian Sangalang, Jio Jalalon and picks
This is easily the most interesting offer out of the three that was posted. Sangalang is in-prime but he has some issues in his health now. Jio just delivered his best season in the PBA. Unfortunately, I am also not sure if he fits beside CJ Perez. Overall though, this is the best offer.
