Barangay Ginebra became popular not only by their ability in the 90s and 2000s of coming back from big deficits.
Other than that, they also managed to find guys who can contribute out of the players that nobody expected. Do you remember Rob Labagala and Paul Artadi who managed to dial impressive seasons with Ginebra?
Now the millions of Ginebra fans are starting to go crazy about Kim Aurin who is putting up awesome numbers in his first few games in the league.
He played for Perpetual Altas last year and he was their main gunner. He produced 13.75 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.88 blocks, and 0.63 steals in eight games.
His season ended when he played for the 3x3 squad of Ginebra. Yes, it means that Ginebra has legit interest on Aurin because they invited him again in PBA on Tours.
Watching his play, he is not that athletic. He obviously matured in basketball as the main guy with the way he handles the ball after a pass.
Nevertheless, he seems to have a very good touch. He can hit those three-pointers and he is strong in getting to the basket.
Knowing that Ginebra do not have a 1st rounder, Aurin could be their target for the 2nd round pick.
