The moment coach Aldin Ayo entered Converge Fiber Xers as their first ever head coach hiring, we anticipated a lot of movement.
Still though, we did not anticipate it to be this much. He entered Converge with a lot of young players and he has flipped majority of them.
It is time to rank them according to the likelihood that Converge will regret.
#7 Kurt Lojera
Kurt was an interesting guard but I do not think his potential is high enough for Converge to even think twice of trading him.
#6 David Murrell
He was part of the package to get that #10 pick. David is a very interesting prospect with his good body build and athleticism. If Magnolia can put more offensive skills into him, Converge could be regretting soon.
#5 Allyn Bulanadi
Jerrick Balanza is a useful piece for Converge. Bulanadi thouggh has a higher potential. Regardless, guard is very dependent to the willingness of the team to give them an opportunity. And it seems like coach Aldin is having a hard time trusting Allyn with more playing time.
#4 RK Ilagan
At the middle of our ranking is RK. If RK can continue to become a reliable pull-up shooter, Converge will be on the verge of regretting. Now, it will be another story if RK can actually pull it to another level. Effective pull-up three-point shooter are deadly in a league.
#3 Ben Adamos
Adamos is exploding under the tutelage of his college coach in NLEX. I always saw Adamos as a high potential bigman because of his fluid movement for his size. It seems like he just needs that opportunity. And if he can sustain what he is doing in NLEX, we could be concluding the Converge trade of Adamos to Phoenix as an L for Converge in the next season.
#2 Abu Tratter
Finding a capable starting caliber center in the PBA is one of the most crucial step in building up a championship caliber team. Converge let him go. And if he turns out to be a starter in Magnolia, then Converge made the wrong decision.
#1 Tyrus Hill
There is a good chance that I am the biggest fan of Tyrus. I really think that he has a very high potential and for Converge to give him up in a trade for a late 1st is quite unacceptable in my eyes.
