We are less than a month away from the next season of the PBA. With the FIBA World Cup and the Asian games conquest, the excitement for the upcoming PBA season is very high.
So, here is our updated power ranking!
#12. Northport Batang Pier
Believe it or not but Terrafirma and Blackwater will not be here in the last spot for this ranking. Northport seems to be the squad with the most question marks out of the three.
#11. Terrafirma Dyip
I need to consider the reality that Stephen Holt is old enough that the risk of a trade is quite bigger than a young #1 pick.
#10. Blackwater Bossing
If Christian David is the real deal, Blackwater could be an exciting team to watch and see if they can gel and be a good team in the future.
#9. Rain or Shine Elasto Painters
I love the draft of Rain or Shine but they still rely a lot on very old veterans and Datu is young while Villegas may not be playing in the first conference.
#8. Phoenix Super LPG
Phoenix is a very interesting team because of the very high number of forwards in their line-up. They can play a very modern system that can blow away the league.
#7. Converge Fiber Xers
Coach Aldin Ayo has a big factor for this ranking. Although, there is a big risk of sliding. Deschon Winston can stop that if he can be a better Maverick Ahanmisi for them.
#6. Meralco Bolts
There is an ongoing issue about signing Brandon Bates. That will be very unfortunate because they need Bates to add depth.
#5. Magnolia Hotshots
Magnolia made some moves to beef up their team but still, age is creeping up for them. They do not have a blue-chip prospect that we can be excited about.
#4. NLEX Road Warriors
I am just hype up about the potential improvement of Brandon Rosser. Don Trollano and Kevin Alas are still there and in-prime. Add their exciting rookies and they could become very interesting!
#3. TNT Tropang Giga
TNT and Mikey Williams has a brewing issue again. This will be the third year in a row. Can they fix it again or will this be the last one?
#2. San Miguel Beermen
San Miguel has not made a big move to jock-up their team even with a 2023 season that was just good enough but not impressive.
#1. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel
They made the biggest addition out of the top 3 squad. I think Maverick Ahanmisi is an excellent fit for the team and fills a crucial need.
