PBA Controversy: TNT superstar Mikey Williams break his silence!

 

TNT senior consultant Chot Reyes disclosed that the team is navigating the complexities of a potential separation from Mikey Williams, who is currently in the United States and hasn't returned for the ongoing 48th PBA season. 

The team has officially sent a termination letter to Williams, initiating what could be a contentious parting of ways. Reyes emphasized that, at this point, TNT hasn't formulated any specific plans regarding Williams, including the option of trading him to other interested teams. Although the team still holds his rights, Reyes stated that they are currently in a holding pattern, awaiting further developments.

Williams, a crucial part of TNT's recent successes, has not been back to the Philippines since the conclusion of the last season, displaying a lack of interest in rejoining the team. When asked about Williams' intentions to return, Reyes suggested reaching out to the player directly, indicating uncertainty about the American guard's future plans. 

Despite his significant contributions to TNT, winning two championships and earning a Finals MVP and Rookie of the Year honors in 2021, Williams' current status and the lack of communication with the team raise questions about his future in the PBA.

A few hours after the rumor of such broke, Mikey finally posted something in social media account! his first post was,

When the hate don't work they start telling lies lol.

After that, he posted seventy emoji of a blue cap. Then posted,

One to many caps.

The easiest statement to focus on is the first one. I understand that it is his personal account and those posts may not be about his current PBA situation. But, it is quite applicable with his current situation.

So, if he is accusing a TNT personnel or the entire TNT management of lying, the question is, what could be that lie?

The number 1 accusation about him is that he wants a bigger contract. Is that lie? If that is a lie, then where is he? Unless he clears the air about his current status and his reason of not returning to the country, it is hard to understand his position.
