In a shocking decision posted in social media, NLEX decided to let go of Yousef Taha. Why is it shocking? Because NLEX is one of the teams that badly need Yousef Taha.
Maybe, they are aware of how bad his current injury issues are? That is the only logical explanation in my mind. Now that Taha is not in their roster, their frontline rotation is down to Mike Miranda, Dave Marcelo, Jonnel Policarpio and Ato Ular.
So, if Taha is really available. Who are the top 3 teams that should make an offer to him?
#3. TNT
After trading for Rey Nambatac, the camp of TNT is silent in the free agency and trading table. Although, there are rumors that Kelly Williams could be retiring for good. Taha could be a good shot of taking over some of his minutes.
#2. Ginebra
The current frontline rotation of Ginebra is still a top tier. They have Isaac Go, Japeth Aguilar, Jamie Malonzo, Ben Adamos and Raymond Aguilar. But, one injury can easily derail the rotation. So, how about adding Taha?
#1. Northport
After NLEX, Northport is the most obvious team that need Taha. Their current rotation is Abu Tratter, JM Calma, Cade Flores, Sidney Onwubere and William Navarro. The main issue is the size. So, adding a 6'8 center will be great.
