What did you crave when you found out that Allen Durham is back as the import of the Meralco Bolts? The flashback of the amazing playoff series between Ginebra and Meralco with Brownlee and Durham, cam quickly to my mind.
So, what a gift to see another playoff series between this two teams! Yes, it will not be in the Finals but we know that these two teams will give it their all!
Meralco already won over Ginebra in the playoffs in the past. Durham never did. Knowing that there is a 95% chance that this will be the last chapter of the Brownlee-Durham saga, will we finally see Meralco with Durham defeat Ginebra with Brownlee?
I do not have much statistics to check to make my prediction due to unavailability of stats with the arrival of the 4-point shot.
So, I will trust what I saw when I watched them play.
Meralco is playing better all throughout the tournament. Ginebra was up-and-down during this tournament. Unfortunately for them, Brownlee may not be 100% to start this series.
Overall, Meralco is an elite defensive team. Defense has been the trademark of coach Tim Cone with Ginebra but that is not the case in this year.
Overall, Ginebra just have too much question marks in terms of the health of their core players and even the chemistry of their team that the better pick is Meralco.
