Midway through the game, NLEX lost their driving force, import DeQuan Jones, to a gruesome leg injury. While the Road Warriors showed immense resilience by gutting out an all-local win to improve to a league-leading 7-1 record in Group A, the franchise now faces an urgent dilemma.
The Incident: Truly Just an Accident
The heartbreaking sequence occurred at the 7:27 mark of the third quarter. Jones was attacking the lane and was already on his way to an awkward landing. Compounding the bad landing, TNT big man Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser lost his balance and inadvertently fell directly onto Jones' right leg.

The emotional win allowed NLEX to bounce back immediately from their shock loss to Terrafirma over the weekend, while simultaneously dropping the Tropang 5G to a 4-4 record (tying them with the Converge FiberXers).
