Here is our ranking as we have this long break!
#13. Titan (#13 last ranking) - They have a great import but their current talent level is just not good enough. And it is better for them to tank.
#12. Terrafirma (#12 last ranking) - They are interesting to watch with a great import and the bounce back of Maverick Ahanmisi and Juami Tiongson.
#11. Macau (#11 last ranking) - Damian Chong Qui is a special player. I just hope he is playing for a better team so that we can witness his greatness in the playoffs.
#9. Blackwater (#10 last ranking) - Blackwater is top 3 in forcing turnovers and top 3 also in limiting personal fouls. That is a great combination that showcase a fluid team being run by head coach Pat Aquino.
#8. Phoenix (#7 last ranking) - My issue right now with Phoenix is that they are averaging 2nd lowest points per game right now. Coach Charles Tiu is playing a different scheme than anticipated.
#7. Magnolia (#9 last ranking) - Lucero is a top 10 player in the PBA right now but he is not getting the hype that he deserves. He is averaging 15.1 points, 50% FG, 53% 3FG, 7.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
#6. Converge (#4 last ranking) - They have bounce back from their losing streak but I need to slide them here because they have some off-court issues that could catch up to them in the playoffs.
#5. NLEX (#5 last ranking) - I hope NLEX have a giant local player. Without one, I cannot trust them with a top 4 spot right now.
#4. Rain or Shine (#6 last ranking) - Rain or Shine could be the beneficiary of the long break because that means their injured core players could be available during the playoffs.
#3. Ginebra (#3 last ranking) - Brownlee will return and try to will Ginebra to the playoffs. I wonder if coach Tim Cone is too distracted now with Gilas that Ginebra's campaign will be affected.
#2. TNT (#2 last ranking) - Coach Chot Reyes proved again that he is a top-tier coach but in the playoffs, they need RHJ to return because his brother is not good enough.
#1. San Miguel (#1 last ranking) - San Miguel is just the clear favorite now. With George King playing well and with a breakout tournament by Brondial, defeating them will be hard.
