We still have almost 3 weeks to wait before the re-start of the 2026 PBA Governors Cup. So, here is a new series for you!
Allow us to name the top trade asset of each team! This is the player or draft pick that a team can trade and the chances that they end up winning the exchange is high.
For this article, we will start with Converge, Magnolia, TItan and NLEX!
Converge - Mikey Williams
I think Mikey is already a negative to the overall performance of Converge. His name value and past success still makes him an intriguing trade asset for Converge. Just getting a player that can be a net positive for them could already be a win.
Magnolia - Paul Lee
The reasoning behind choosing Lee is almost the same with what I explained regarding Mikey. Lee is still giving his best but overall, he is already a net negative on the court. He is still a star. So, a good return will still be expected.
They can have that right of Greg until he retires or they can trade it and at least get a 2nd round pick. That 2nd round pick can turn out to be a good player.
NLEX - LJay Gonzales
I think there are a lot of fans and analysts that believe on the potential of Gonzales. But with Bolick and Deschon Winston, NLEX is not really in need of a ball-dominant player. So, if they can use him to get a quality bigman, it will be worth it.
