Coach Tab is fired from TNT! Is this a big deal?

TNT Ka Tropa announced their decision to removed coach Tab Baldwin as one of their assistant coaches and team consultant, last Thursday.

 That decision received a lot of negative feedback from the PBA fans who believed that coach Tab is now being punished for what he said in the podcast, Coaches Unfiltered.

The manager of the team, Gabby Cui, explained to Spin.ph that their decision was not brought by coach Tab's controversial remarks.

According to Mr. Cui, it was decided way before the controversy because of the respectable season that they had last year. They believed that coach Tab already helped coach Bong Ravena and team consultant Mark Dickel in putting up the right foundation for the team.

So, they now want coach Tab to focus on his other duties of being the head coach of Ateneo and the head director of the Gilas program.

I saw a lot of angry comments from the fans over this firing. Although, I do not think this is a big deal at all because the decision was understandable.

Hearing the sentiments of PBA coaches, executive and the commissioner, they need to remove him to retain the harmony in the league.

The removal is not the big deal, the reaction of the fans is!

The majority of the fans continue to criticize the league and the people behind it for being deft to the message of coach Tab.

PBA fans want changes. They want a better Philippine brand of basketball.

If the league continues to be deft. The league could be nearer to its end than its renaissance.
