PBA Free Agency: Troy Rosario will not be the last superstar bigman to become Unrestricted FA this year?

There are reports out there that the contract of Christian Standhardinger will end this November. And there are also rumblings that he played his last game in the PBA already.

I think there is one interesting thing happening also at the moment his contract ends. The moment it happens, Christian will also become an Unrestricted Free Agent. He is from the 2017 draft and this year is already their 7th. According to the rules, he is already eligible to choose his team!

This is now an interesting situation for him. He already played for four teams, San Miguel, Northport, Ginebra and Terrafirma.

Yes, the only SMC team that he has not played for is Magnolia. Magnolia is also in need of a talent as good as Standhardinger.

But, remember that Christian started his San Miguel career with some contract negotiation struggles. He has some internal conflicts in Northport. Ginebra chose to let him go and some statements between the two camps contradicted each other.

This has made me believe that the MVP group squads and the independent teams will have a shot in getting him. With their disappointing quarterfinals finish in this Governors Cup, will Meralco finally spend more and correct their path?

With Converge playing better and with a deep pocket, can they steal one from the San Miguel Corporation?
