PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia, SMB or Ginebra, which team will trade for the #1 pick of the 2025 PBA Draft?

 

What is the most fun thing to talk about in the PBA? Of course it is trades! Unfortunately, 90% of the time that we talk about trades, it involves a farm team.

Nevertheless, discussing things that are a few years from happening, specially if it is trade, is still something worth doing.

So, for this one we will talk about Terrafirma being on the running again to grab the #1 pick. We will now rank the three main SMC teams according to the likelihood that they will be the recipient of the guy that will be drafted with the #1 pick!

#3. Magnolia
Snow Badua dropped a rumor that Magnolia will look to make a big acquisition if they fail to win the championship in the ongoing tournament. If that happens, that means Magnolia made two massive acquisition this year. Knowing how conservative they are, I think that lessen the likelihood that they will be receiving the guy that Terrafirma will pick. 

#2. San Miguel
I decided to put SMB at #2 because I think there is a good chance that the guy that Terrafirma will draft will be a bigman. With the presence of Fajardo in San Miguel, that makes it unlikely that he will be sent to SMB.

#1. Ginebra
Remember that we are only predicting it with all the current information that we have. We have Ginebra at the top because considering every aspect, they are the most likely. Their guard position is the only position that the team can be confident about in the next five years.
