Ginebra has always been a team that looks to fortify its frontline, especially as the league moves into this era of "Unlimited Height." So, who is the mystery giant wanting to don the red and white? Here are the top 3 candidates currently being discussed in the PBA circles:
#3. Abu Tratter (Blackwater Bossing)
Tratter has been a revelation for the Bossing this conference. He’s playing some of the best basketball of his career, providing a stable inside presence and high-energy rebounding. But here’s the kicker: Abu is nearing that 7-year mark. According to the rumors, the main clue in Snow Badua’s post points directly to a player who can turn into a UFA very soon. If Tratter decides to test the open market, Ginebra would be a dream destination for a mobile big man who can complement Japeth Aguilar.
#2. Ian Sangalang (Magnolia Hotshots)
This one would be an absolute earthquake. Ian Sangalang is a cornerstone of the Magnolia franchise, but whispers are getting louder that he might be looking for a change of scenery. And here is the #1 candidate. The "Big Mo" himself. Moala Tautuaa is reportedly looking at his options as he could turn into an Unrestricted Free Agent this year. Why Ginebra? Because at San Miguel, he is often playing second fiddle to the Kraken. Word is that Moala wants to be the "Main Center" of a team again—the focal point of the interior. With Ginebra looking for a long-term anchor to eventually transition from the Japeth era, Tautuaa fits the bill perfectly. He has the size, the outside shot, and the championship pedigree to take over the Barangay paint.
