PBA Trade Rumors: Converge, Rain or Shine, Magnolia and Meralco BIGGEST NEEDS!

 

We have a month to go and an Asian Games to witness before we return to PBA action. That is long enough for teams to try and fix their issues.

So, we have this article series of pointing out the biggest needs of each team. We are done with 8 teams:

Here is our last 4 teams: Converge, Rain or Shine, Magnolia and Meralco!

Converge - Lockdown Perimeter defender
Converge is having a horrendous defensive tournament. They are one of the 3 worst teams in terms of opponent points per game and currently, they are forcing the least number of turnovers. What they need is someone that can defend the perimeter and can create turnovers. And Joshua Munzon fits that perfectly.

Rain or Shine - Top 10 PBA Player
History should teach the management of Rain or Shine that they have been building a very deep team and coach Yeng has developed a lot of players but without a top 10 player, it may not be enough to win the crown. Arguably, there are two top 10 players in the block recently. Can you imagine Sedrick Barefield under coach Yeng?

Magnolia - Rebounder
According to the Slam Dunk cartoon, if you control the rebound, you control the game. Magnolia is currently the last team in terms of rebounds per game. They are playing a very slow pace and that could be the reason but still, adding a good rebounder, either a wingman, forward or a bigman, could help them in that area.

Meralco - Young player with a high potential
Knowing that they have a shot of stealing the #5 pick in the draft, I think Meralco should really consider tanking it out and letting themselves fall in the standings.
